Felix Landa

Felix Landa has a diverse work experience in the insurance and healthcare industries. Felix currently holds the position of Catastrophe Modeling Analyst at UFG Insurance since April 2022. Prior to this, Felix worked at Aon as an Associate Director from September 2018 to April 2022, where they were responsible for cultivating effective risk management, overseeing projects for top-tier clients, and providing actionable insights to leadership based on business data and risk analyses. At Aon, they also served as a Senior Catastrophe Risk Analyst from September 2018 to September 2021, where they cleansed and uploaded financial data into catastrophe modeling software, interpreted technical results for non-technical audiences, and delivered urgent reports estimating the loss to the client portfolio during catastrophic events.

Before joining Aon, Felix worked at Talbot Underwriting Ltd as a Catastrophe Modeling Analyst from March 2016 to September 2018. In this role, they processed large volumes of underwriting data, produced pricing reports comparing modeled losses to reinsurer premiums, and efficiently simulated individual schedules of values.

Felix's earlier work experience includes a role as a System Application Coordinator (Emergency Department) at Baptist Health South Florida from November 2014 to March 2016. In this position, they published reports tracking emergency room performance metrics, managed a database of nurses with designated access levels, and delivered Excel reports exploring relationships between various metrics.

Felix Landa pursued their education in a sequential manner, starting with Miami Dade College from 2010 to 2012. During this time, they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Mathematics. Following that, they enrolled at The Johns Hopkins University, where they studied from 2012 to 2014. At Johns Hopkins, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. Finally, Felix attended Florida International University from 2015 to 2018, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Statistics.
