Regional Membership Development Manager, Associate VP at UFirst Credit Union

Verl Tidwell began their work experience in 1982 as an AVP at First Security Bank, N.A., where they worked in community banking store management until 1987. Verl then joined Citi as an AVP and community banking market manager, specializing in generating 2nd mortgage loans. In 1988, Tidwell became a VP and community banking store manager at First Security Bank, N.A., where they remained until 2000. From 2000 to 2008, they worked at Wells Fargo as an SVP and community banking district manager, consistently surpassing sales, profit, and checking growth goals. In 2008, Tidwell became the community banking president at Wells Fargo, overseeing three district managers and achieving top ranking division sales results. Finally, in 2012, they joined UFirst Credit Union as a regional membership development manager and associate VP, responsible for developing strategies for new membership and business development and coaching managers and team members to improve members' financial well-being.

Verl Tidwell earned a B.S. in Business Management with a focus on Finance, Economics, and Accounting from Brigham Young University between 1974 and 1981. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Business, Consulting from the University of Utah from 1984 to 1986. Additionally, during this same period at the University of Utah, Verl Tidwell also completed a Graduate School of Banking program at Pacific Coast Banking School, specializing in Management, Commercial Lending, and Strategic Planning.
