Ashim Sarkar

Ashim Sarkar has a strong background in finance and banking, with experience at prestigious institutions such as Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Citibank India. At Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Ashim serves as the Business Head MSME Finance since February 2022, where they are responsible for driving scale through product design and strategic partnerships in the digital bank and fintech sector. Ashim has achieved significant portfolio growth and successfully executed fintech partnerships. At Kotak Mahindra Bank, Ashim held various roles in the MSME Finance and Consumer Assets divisions, including AVP (Product & Strategy) and Chief Manager (Product), where they played a crucial role in formulating and implementing strategic initiatives, conducting financial analysis, driving profitability, and leading integration efforts. Ashim also started their career as a Management Trainee at Citibank India.

Ashim Sarkar completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 2007 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Post-Graduate Diploma in General Management (PGDM) at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad from 2011 to 2013.
