Sanjay Prabhu

Sanjay Prabhu has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sanjay is currently working as the Senior Vice President & Circle Business Head - Corporate Liabilities at Ujjivan Small Finance Bank since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director at FINOSPAN Consulting WLL from September 2019 to January 2023.

From August 2006 to August 2019, Sanjay worked at Arab Bank as the Vice President & Head of Corporate Banking (Offshore Banking). Their responsibilities included managing and developing relationships with large corporate clients, financing infrastructure projects, credit appraisals, risk assessment, and overseeing a team of 37 people.

Before joining Arab Bank, Sanjay was the General Manager - Treasury at Dodsal Group from September 2003 to June 2006, where they maintained strong banking relationships and raised funds totaling $1.4 billion (USD).

Sanjay also has experience working as a Fixed Income Dealer / Consultant at Prebon Yamane (India) Ltd from January 2002 to August 2003, where they managed portfolios of debt market mutual funds and provided advisory services to corporates.

Sanjay's early career includes roles as the Treasury Manager at Dabhol Power Company (Enron Group) from May 2000 to December 2001, Manager Finance at International Gold Co. Ltd (Inter Gold Group) from July 1999 to April 2000, and Manager - Finance at Lahoti Overseas Ltd from May 1997 to June 1999.

Sanjay Prabhu completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from K J Somaiya College of Engineering in the years 1989 to 1993. Sanjay then went on to pursue an MBA in Finance from ITM Group of Institutions from 1995 to 1997. Subsequently, they obtained a Certification in Treasury Management with a specialization in Foreign exchange & interest rate risk management from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst of India in the year 2002.
