Roger Waring

Roger Waring has a strong background in procurement and commercial roles. Roger is currently the Head of Procurement (inc Commercial and Property/FM) and Income Management at UK Power Networks since May 2023. Prior to this, they held various positions at UK Power Networks, including Head of Procurement, Commercial and Property, and Head of Procurement and Commercial. Roger achieved CIPS Corporate Advanced Platinum accreditation and led a team of 60 in managing around £700m per year of third party spend across all categories. Before joining UK Power Networks, Roger worked as a Global Category Lead at Procurian from August 2012 to January 2014. Roger also served as the Head of Supply Chain Consultancy at Sodexo Property Solutions from June 2008 to July 2012 and as a Senior Procurement Consultant at Atkins from June 2008 to November 2011. Prior to these roles, Roger worked as a Buyer at Carillion Business Services from 2004 to June 2008.

From 1997 to 2000, Roger Waring studied at the University of Nottingham. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng Hons) degree in Manufacturing Engineering & Operations Management.
