Laura Needham

Laura Needham currently serves as a Non Executive Director for The British Mountaineering Council since June 2023. Prior experience includes co-heading physiology for the UK Sports Institute since July 2013 and previously working as a senior physiologist, along with roles as a physiologist for British Triathlon and technical lead for GB Boxing. Laura has also contributed to Sport Wales as a physiologist and as a physiology intern from December 2010 to June 2013. Academic qualifications include a Professional Doctorate in Physiology from the University of Portsmouth (2020-2023), a Professional Doctorate in Physiology from the University of Kent (2014-2019), a Master of Science in Sport & Exercise Science from Cardiff Metropolitan University (2011-2013), and a Bachelor of Science in Sport & Exercise Science from Cardiff Metropolitan University (2008-2011).
