Sajid Afzal

Sajid Afzal, CISSP, currently serves as the Director of Global Cybersecurity Operations at UL Solutions, where responsibilities include managing all aspects of cyber operations such as Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and Threat Intelligence since August 2022. Prior to this role, Sajid was the Cybersecurity Operations Leader at Baxter International Inc., overseeing various security operations and reporting directly to the CISO. Sajid's earlier experience includes positions as Sr. Cybersecurity Leader at Grant Thornton LLP, where initiatives related to network and cloud security were led, and Senior Principal Consultant at Vodafone Global Enterprise, focusing on service integration for corporate customers. Additional experience includes roles at Walgreens and Rush University Medical Center, with a foundational education in Information and Decision Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago and ongoing studies in the Technical Leadership Development Program at MIT Sloan School of Management.
