Woodrow Curry III

Woodrow Curry III is an experienced labor union representative and organizer, currently serving as an Area Representative at United Teachers Los Angeles since September 2016, advocating for LAUSD educators. Previously, Woodrow held positions as a Union Representative at SEIU Local 1000, and as a Lead Campaign Organizer at SB Strategies LLC/AAVREP. Additional experience includes roles at the University of California, Riverside as a Governmental Relations Assistant and Campus Recruiter, as well as a District Office Intern at the California State Senate. Early career roles include a Mental Health Worker at Children's Therapeutic Communities and a Student Intern at the California Department of Conservation. Woodrow holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/International Relations from the University of California, Riverside, a Master's Degree in Labor Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and an M.A. in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge.
