John Christiansen has diverse work experience spanning over a decade. John is currently employed as a Lead Substation Engineer at Ulteig since November 2022. Previously, they worked at Enbridge from February 2018 to October 2022 as an Electrical Engineer IV in their US operation engineering group. John'sresponsibilities included directing field operations support, providing technical project support, and overseeing project execution. Prior to that, they worked at EAPC Architects Engineers as an Electrical Engineer from February 2015 to February 2018, where they designed electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects using software such as Autocad and Revit. John also has experience working as an Electrical Engineer at Prairie Engineering, P.C. from February 2013 to February 2015, focusing on electrical system design for commercial projects. Additionally, John has worked as an Electrical Engineer at Lake Superior Consulting from October 2012 to January 2013, specializing in factory acceptance testing and electrical power and control systems design. John began their career as an Electrical Engineer Intern at EAPC Architects Engineers from May 2011 to May 2012, where they performed service entrance calculations, drafted electrical circuits, and conducted lighting assessments. Prior to their engineering roles, they briefly worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Precision Pipeline, LLC from May 2009 to August 2009.

John Christiansen completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of North Dakota from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, in 2007 and 2008, they pursued Pre-Engineering at Bemidji State University. Additionally, John obtained certifications, including a PE (Professional Engineer) from the Minnesota Board of AELSLAGID and a PE License from the North Dakota state board of registration, in December 2017.
