Senior Director Of Application Support at Ultima Genomics

Douglas Hinerfeld has an extensive work experience in the biotech and genomics industry. Douglas has held various positions in different companies.

From 2007 to 2010, they worked at The Jackson Laboratory as a Senior Manager, Molecular Phenotyping. In 2010, they became the Associate Director of Genome Technologies, and from 2013 to 2015, they served as the Director of Clinical Genomics and Translational Technologies.

In 2015, Hinerfeld joined Fluidigm Corporation as a Senior Field Application Scientist, specializing in Single Cell Biology.

Douglas then moved to NanoString Technologies, Inc. in 2016 and held multiple roles. Douglas started as a Principal Product Application Scientist, then became the Director of Product Applications from 2019 to 2021. Finally, they served as the Senior Director of Customer Experience until April 2022.

In 2022, Hinerfeld joined Ultima Genomics as the Senior Director of Application Support.

Most recently, in 2023, they are employed at Alamar Biosciences, Inc. as the Senior Director of Application Support.

Douglas Hinerfeld completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of Colorado, where they studied from 1989 to 1995. Following this, they pursued higher education at Emory University from 1996 to 2001, earning a Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology. Additionally, they obtained a certification in GeoMx Data Analysis for NGS-Readout from NanoString Technologies, Inc. in September 2021.
