Chandran J.

Chandran (Jay) J. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Chandran (Jay) started their career at Sudharsan Insulations as a Technical Assistant, where they assisted in designing electronic control circuits and transformers for UPS and battery chargers. Chandran (Jay) then worked at Ramco Systems as a Technical Foreman, handling electrical and electronic component procurement, as well as conducting R&D on communication equipment and UPS for offshore clients. Chandran (Jay) later joined All-Tech Power Electronics as a Manager, leading a team in research, manufacturing, and servicing high-frequency UPS systems. At HP, Chandran held various roles such as Technical Specialist, Senior Supervisor, Operations Manager, and Engineering Manager, responsible for wafer fab equipment uptime and print head fabrication. Chandran (Jay) then transitioned to Applied Materials as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, focusing on lean manufacturing projects and transitioning new products. Chandran also worked at ASM as a Director, responsible for global NPI/DFM/DFE projects and transitioning products into volume manufacturing. Currently, they are serving as the Senior Director of Operations Engineering & Automation and the Senior Director of Operations Engineering, Global Industry 4.0 at Ultra Clean Technology, where they oversee the implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives, MES and Automation solutions, and leads manufacturing engineering teams in Asia.

Chandran (Jay) J.'s education history includes a Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Central Polytechnic, earned from 1984 to 1987. Chandran (Jay) then pursued an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration from the Singapore Productivity and Standards Board, which they completed from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, they obtained a Bachelor of Business in Business Administration from RMIT University. More recently, from 2014 to 2015, they completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at the University of Sunderland, specializing in Business Administration and Management.
