Karen Kemme

Karen Kemme has a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience working in various roles and positions. Karen started their career at Genentech in 1994 as a Senior Compliance Associate and later became a Senior Manager. In 2008, they joined Amgen as a Manager and held this position until 2013. Following this, they worked at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. as an Associate Director from 2013 to 2016. After that, they joined Ultragenyx in 2016, first as an Executive Director and then as the Vice President of Translational Sciences Business Operations. Karen'scurrent role at Ultragenyx began in September 2023.

Karen Kemme has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Medical Microbiology from San Francisco State University. Karen also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music from the same university.
