Michael Maben, CISSP

Michael Maben, CISSP, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michael is currently working as a Cyber Security Analyst II at UltraViolet Cyber starting in December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Anitian as a Security Analyst/Penetration Tester from September 2019 to August 2020.

Before their roles in cybersecurity, Michael gained experience in operations support and records management at Hyster-Yale Group from April 2017 to September 2019. In this position, they were responsible for diagnosing and correcting production issues, developing product structuring guidelines, and conducting competitive analysis.

Furthermore, they worked as a System Administrator at American Barricade from May 2015 to March 2016. During this time, they applied security policies and maintained company workstations, set up a remotely hosted server, and modified inventory management software.

Michael's background also includes roles in robotics engineering and safety management. At Clark Aerospace from September 2014 to April 2015, they served as the Safety Officer & Lead Robotics Engineer, overseeing the design, development, and safety measures of a 6 degree-of-freedom robotic arm. Michael'sexperience in safety measures and risk mitigation extends to their role in the United States Marine Corps as a Military Police officer from October 2007 to October 2012. In this position, they supervised patrol teams, worked as a 911 dispatcher, and managed the armory, ensuring the secure storage and inventory of weaponry and equipment.

Michael Maben, CISSP, has a strong educational background in cybersecurity and information technology management. In 2013 to 2015, they attended Clark College, where they studied computer engineering. Michael then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity & Information Awareness from Western Governors University from 2018 to 2020. Continuing their education, Michael enrolled in Western Governors University again in 2022 and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Information Technology Management, which they are expected to complete in 2023.

In addition to their academic achievements, Michael holds numerous certifications in the field. Michael obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in September 2021.
