Danilo Šijačić

Danilo Šijačić has held a variety of roles in the field of cryptography and engineering. From 2022 to 2021, they worked as a Cryptographic Hardware Engineer at Ulvetanna Inc and as a Senior HW Engineer at NextSilicon. In 2021, they were a Design Engineer at Silex Insight. From 2017 to 2015, they held the role of Research Intern at Riscure and Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Associate at COSIC (KU Leuven). In 2015, they were a Visiting Scholar at COSIC (KU Leuven) with a Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) research grant by ICT COST Action IC1306: Cryptography for Secure Digital Interaction. In 2013, they worked as a Security Engineer, Intern at Escrypt Inc., where they implemented cryptographic primitives and security protocols in C/C++, supported designs and assessments of secure in-vehicle network architectures, and supported the design of a PKI architecture. In 2012, they were an Embedded Software Developer, Intern at Strawberry energy.

Danilo Šijačić completed a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computing from the University of Belgrade in 2014. Danilo then earned a Master's Degree in the same field from the University of Belgrade in 2015. In 2015, they began their Doctor of Engineering Science (PhD) in Electrical Engineering at KU Leuven and obtained it in 2020. In 2014, they also obtained a certification in Cryptography I from Coursera.
