Jim Posen has worked in a variety of roles in the tech industry. In 2011, they were a Technology Summer Analyst at Morgan Stanley, where they wrote maintenance scripts in Perl. In the same year, they were also a Director of Online Operations at Duke Chronicle, where they led a rewrite of the site to Ruby on Rails. In 2012, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Google, where they wrote a Python service to keep LDAP in sync with other data stores in real time. In 2013, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Facebook. In 2014, they were a Technical Lead at Coinbase. In 2019, they were a Core Development Intern at Parity Technologies, where they worked on the open-source Substrate blockchain framework in Rust. In 2020, they were a Programmer at Red Balloon Security, Inc. Currently, they are a Cryptography Engineering Lead at Ulvetanna Inc, where they are working on an FGPA-accelerated platform for generating zk-SNARK proofs quickly and efficiently.
Jim Posen's education history includes a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, which they completed in 2020.
