Georg Baunach has an extensive work experience in the field of sustainable aquaculture and alternative seafood. Starting in 2013, they began their career as a Product Development Intern at ATG:biosynthetics GmbH. In 2014, they took on a Research Assistant role at the Zentrum für Molekulare Biologie Heidelberg and a Research Internship at Harvard Medical School. In 2015, they became the Founder and CEO of Etility. In 2019, they founded Plastic Fischer GmbH, an innovative technology company that removes plastic from rivers in Asia. In 2020, they became a Co-founder and Board Member of Umami Meats and a Board Member of ANB SENSORS LTD. Lastly, they are currently the Managing Partner and Co-founder of HATCH, a global sector-specific investment firm in sustainable aquaculture and alternative seafood.
Georg Baunach completed a Master in Management from the London Business School in 2017, after having obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Molecular Biotechnology from Heidelberg University in 2015.
