Elizabeth Burland is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in public policy and qualitative research. Currently serving as an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Public Policy since August 2023, Elizabeth previously held the position of Research Lead at the University of Michigan since August 2017, where responsibilities included developing qualitative research strategies, leading a team of research assistants, and implementing randomized controlled trials that significantly increased enrollment in target populations. Elizabeth's background also includes teaching undergraduate courses in quantitative program evaluation, as well as roles in administrative coordination and research analysis, notably with the Wilmington Education Improvement Commission. Elizabeth holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Sociology from the University of Michigan, along with a Master's degree in Urban Affairs and Public Policy and a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy from the University of Delaware, reflecting a strong academic foundation in the field.
