Shai Revzen

Associate Professor at The University of Michigan

Shai Revzen is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in robotics and computer science. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan since 2011, Shai Revzen founded the BIRDS lab, focusing on Biologically Inspired Robotics and Dynamical Systems, while also holding positions in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department and the University of Michigan's Robotics Institute. In addition, Shai Revzen co-founded AccuLine and serves as Founder & General Manager at Izun, Inc. Shai Revzen's previous roles include Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, Chief Architect at Harmonic Data Systems, and Lecturer at John Bryce Training. Shai Revzen earned a Ph.D. in Biomechanics from the University of California, Berkeley, a JD from Wayne State University, and holds master's and bachelor's degrees from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Computer Science, Math, and Physics.
