W. David Tarver

W. David Tarver is an accomplished entrepreneur, educator, and community advocate with a diverse and impactful career spanning several decades. Currently, W. David Tarver serves as President and Founder of the Urban Entrepreneurship Initiative, which focuses on sustainable business solutions for urban challenges. In addition, W. David Tarver is a lecturer at the University of Michigan College of Engineering, and serves as Principal of eBuktu Media LLC, specializing in multimedia publishing and management consulting. Previous roles include Senior Counselor to the Provost for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Wayne State University, Member of the Board of Trustees for the Ruth Mott Foundation, and Venture Accelerator Facilitator at TechTown. Notable entrepreneurial achievements include founding Telecom Analysis Systems, which was acquired for $30 million, and leading Spirent Communications' telecom test equipment business to significant market success. W. David Tarver holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
