Ovais Sarmad

The Deputy Executive Secretary supports the Executive Secretary in managing the UNFCCC secretariat and its staff, and advises her on a range of issues related to the development and strengthening of the organization as an institution, including strategic operations planning; programme budget planning, monitoring and evaluation; strategic oversight of resource mobilization efforts; staff well-being and long-term HR resource planning; oversight of institutional governance arrangements; and guidance to support to intergovernmental affairs in the context of overall secretariat operations.
