Abdellatif Bouazza

Un-habitat Programme Manager (head OF Country Office, Morocco) at UN-Habitat

Abdellatif Bouazza has a diverse and extensive work experience. Abdellatif is currently serving as the UN-HABITAT Programme Manager (Head of Country Office, Morocco) at the UN-Habitat organization since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Director at the Moroccan Institute of Advanced Studies from April 2019 to August 2021. Abdellatif also held the position of Professor of Economics and Consultant at Mohammed V University from April 2016 to August 2021. In addition, they served as an Associate Founder at the Mimap Research Center from 2016 to 2017. Before that, they were the Director of the Social Development Agency (ADS) from September 2014 to April 2016. Abdellatif has also worked as the Director of Social Development at the Ministry of Solidarity Woman Family and Social Development from November 2006 to September 2014. Furthermore, they held the position of Associate Professor of Economics at MOHAMMED V Souissi University from September 1999 to November 2006, and as an Assistant Professor at Abdelmalek Essaadi University (ENCG) from September 1995 to September 1999.

Abdellatif Bouazza completed a Doctorate in Economics at Université Mohammed V, Rabat in 2016. Prior to this, they earned a DES in Economics (Postgraduate degree) at Mohammed V University from 1995 to 1998, and a CES (Master) in Economics with a focus on Finance from 1993 to 1995 at the same institution. Abdellatif also obtained a Certificate in Public Policies Evaluation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2009 and a Certificate Program of African Leadership from The London School of Economics and Political Science in 2012. In addition, they completed a Habilitation universitaire in Economics at Mohammed Ier University in 2006.
