We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Officer with expertise in business banking regulations in the USA to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, particularly those pertaining to business banking operations. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with bank partners.

What you will do ✍️

  1. Compliance Oversight:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and policies related to business banking operations, predominantly for our US business.
  • Monitor and assess compliance risks associated with business banking activities, including but not limited to lending, collections and transactional services.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Stay abreast of changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and advise management on necessary actions to maintain compliance.
  • Bank Partner Relationship Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for bank partners regarding compliance matters.
  • Foster strong relationships with bank partners and collaborate effectively to address compliance issues and concerns.
  • Coordinate compliance-related communications and initiatives with bank partners, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
  • Conduct periodic meetings and reviews with bank partners to evaluate compliance performance and address any identified gaps or areas for improvement.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities within business banking operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to address identified deficiencies.
  • Provide guidance and support to business units to ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures.
  • Training and Education:
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees involved in business banking activities.
  • Provide ongoing education and guidance to staff on compliance requirements, best practices, and emerging issues.
  • Foster a culture of compliance awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
