Phil Geiger

Phil Geiger is the current Managing Director of Concierge Services at Unchained Capital. Phil has held this position for 3 years and 1 month. Prior to this, they were a Bitcoin Specialist for 4 years and 10 months, during which time they helped curious people try Bitcoin by teaching the economics that describe it. Phil also gave educational presentations for beginners, provided one-on-one consulting, wrote featured articles for publications, and contributed meaningfully to the discussion on social media. Phil's technical contributions include running a full v0.17.1 BTC node plus LND (ran BIP148), contributing to BTC fork claimer python script testing, and testing Éclair and LND Lightning nodes. Phil developed a safe process for claiming 25 Bitcoin forks, and can advise where and how to sell most of them.

Before their work as a Bitcoin Specialist, Phil Geiger worked as a Business Development contractor for Mycelium for 3 months. In their engagement with Mycelium they organized their rebranding and content creation strategy and laid the groundwork for a successful marketing campaign. Internally, they developed long-term strategic vision for the product and executed on strategies to unify and organize a multicultural, distributed team.

Phil Geiger has a dual B.A. from Syracuse University in Economics and Policy Studies, with a minor in Psychology. Phil also participated in the Shanghai Study Abroad Program in 2009. Phil has completed courses on Scrum: Advanced and Scrum: The Basics through LinkedIn, as well as Blockchain Basics, Learning Bitcoin, EpicCare Inpatient, MyChart, and Stork Obstetrics through Epic. Phil has also completed a course on Hospital Outpatient Departments through Epic.
