Alex Makumbi

Alex Makumbi, CISSP, currently serves as the Lead Product Security at Under Armour, where responsibilities include leading the Global Application Security program and integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines. Prior experience includes a role as Principal Cyber Security Data Engineer at Capital One, where Alex automated manual security processes and engineered tools for risk identification and reporting. Alex also held positions as Senior Cyber Security Engineer and Senior Application Security Engineer at Capital One, focusing on application security and secure code reviews for thousands of applications. Earlier, Alex worked as an Independent Consultant for Oxfam America, providing transcription and translation services. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, Software Development and Security from University of Maryland Global Campus, and a Bachelor's in Political Science with an Economics Minor from Christopher Newport University.
