Clare Apps WSET Advanced has a wealth of experience in the wine industry. Clare began their career in 2007 as General Manager/Buyer at Bella Vino, LLC. In 2009, they worked as Sales Rep, East Bay at Diamond Wine Merchants and Marketing Agent at Revel Wines & GSWC. Clare also served as an Independent Wine Columnist from 2012 to 2014. From 2010 to 2016, they worked at The Palace Market as Beverage & Specialty Manager, and The Jug Shop as Domestic & Euro Head Wine Buyer. In 2021, they began working at Wine.com as Wine Recommendations Specialist and Taste Eat Drink as Owner. Clare is currently employed as Procurement Lead at Underground Cellar.

Clare Apps obtained an Associate of Arts - AA from Diablo Valley College in an unspecified year. Clare then attended the California Culinary Academy and obtained an AOS in Le Cordon Bleu, Wine in 2005. In 2013, they obtained a WSET III Advanced from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. Clare is currently a Diploma Candidate in Wine from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and has also obtained a WSET Advanced (III) with Merit from the same institution.
