Nashwa Khalid has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Nashwa began their career as a Monitoring & Evaluation Research Associate at Interactive Research & Development, where they conducted real-time M&E of TB program activities and performed analyses for operational research. Nashwa also maintained an open source medical records database called OpenMRS.

In 2016, Nashwa worked as a Research Assistant at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), contributing to research projects within the organization.

From 2018 to the present, Nashwa has been involved with the Community Health Center in various roles. Nashwa started as a Project Coordinator, then took on the role of Project Analyst before becoming a Project Manager. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics and Politics from Mount Holyoke College, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. During their time at Mount Holyoke College, Nashwa also spent a year studying abroad at The University of Edinburgh, focusing on courses related to the EU as a Global Actor, Comparative Democracies, and Economic Applications. Additionally, Nashwa Khalid has pursued further certifications to enhance their skills. Nashwa obtained a Data Science Essentials certification from Pragmatic Institute in April 2021, and a Certificate in Digital Money from Digital Frontiers Institute in May 2016.
