Martiale Gaetan Zebaze Kana

Martiale Gaetan Zebaze Kana is an experienced professional in the fields of science and engineering, currently serving as the Chief of Section for Innovation and Capacity Building at UNESCO since September 2017. With a robust academic background, including a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the University of Ibadan, Martiale has held various significant roles such as UNESCO Chair in Alternative Energy and Deputy Provost of the College of Engineering and Technology at Kwara State University, where efforts focused on developing alternative energy resources and enhancing policy formulation for government agencies. Previous research roles include Deputy Director at the Sheda Science & Technology Complex and Research Fellow at prestigious institutions in Italy, specializing in materials science and solar cell device fabrication. Martiale's contributions have been instrumental in promoting sustainable energy solutions and advancing technological education.
