Hiram Kabarita

Hiram Kabarita is an experienced humanitarian professional currently serving as a Protection and Accountability to Affected Population Specialist with the World Food Programme since March 2024, and as a Global Humanitarian Adviser at Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe since May 2023. Hiram has held various significant roles, including Protection Officer at UNHCR since June 2021, and Child Protection Coordinator at International Medical Corps from July 2021 to May 2023. Previous positions include Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence Specialist at UNICEF, Protection Program Manager at the Danish Refugee Council, and Senior Protection Manager at the International Rescue Committee. Hiram holds an MSc in International Development and Management from Lund University, a BA in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Nairobi, and an Associate's degree in Psychological Counselling from Kenya Methodist University.
