Lisa Mears

Lisa Mears is currently the Senior Manager R&D at Unibio, where Lisa oversees various responsibilities related to production strains. Prior to this, Lisa held the position of Team Leader, Lab for Production Strains at Novozymes. Lisa also has a background in fermentation science, having worked as a Fermentation Scientist. Lisa completed their PhD at DTU - Technical University of Denmark in collaboration with Novozymes, focusing on novel strategies for control of fermentation processes. Lisa has experience in the field working at companies like Shell, where Lisa was involved in yeast fermentation for biofuel applications. Lisa holds a MEng. in Biochemical Engineering from UCL and was a 1-year exchange student in Chemical Engineering at Caltech.
