Iqbal Hossain

Iqbal Hossain is an experienced education professional with a strong background in early childhood development and education management. Currently serving as the Education Manager for UNICEF since September 2015, Iqbal leads the Education and Skills for Adolescents portfolio, focusing on secondary education, skills development, and alternative learning programs for out-of-school children and adolescents. Prior roles include Education Specialist for early learning at UNICEF, Advisor for Quality Primary Education at Plan International, and various positions within the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs of Bangladesh. Iqbal holds multiple degrees, including an M.Sc in Early Childhood Development from BRAC University and an M.Sc in Physics from the University of Calcutta.
