Climate Change And Sustainable Development Advisor at UNICEF

Reis Lopez Rello has extensive experience in climate change and sustainable development, currently serving as a Climate Change and Sustainable Development Advisor at UNICEF since July 2019, leading WASH, Climate Change, and DRR portfolios in Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior roles include Climate Change Advisor for South Asia, where support was provided to governments on climate impacts affecting children and youth, and Climate Change Adaptation Specialist at UNDP, managing multi-donor adaptation projects in both Asia and Latin America. Earlier experience includes managing the Climate Change Practice at PwC, advising companies on sustainability strategies, and serving as a Climate Change Consultant at UNDP, where Reis contributed to the development of a climate adaptation programming kit. Reis holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a focus on Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs concentrating on Economic Development from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
