Rubén Pagés

Rubén Pagés is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in youth and adolescent development, currently serving as Chief of Youth and Adolescent Development at UNICEF since October 2022. In this role, Rubén provides expert technical advice and operational support, ensuring the integration of adolescent development and participation in advocacy, policies, programs, and humanitarian work, while supervising a focused program team. Previous roles include Local COVID-19 Vaccine Deployment Coordinator at the United Nations and Community Support Adviser at UNAIDS, where Rubén led the Community Support portfolio in Jamaica, mobilized funding for civil society organizations, and coordinated UNAIDS' youth strategy across multiple regions. Rubén's academic background includes a Master of Public Health from the University of Buenos Aires, a Bachelor's in International Relations from Universidad del Salvador, and a Master in Project Management and Humanitarian Action from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
