Bhaskar Majumdar

Bhaskar Majumdar is the Founder and Managing Partner of Unicorn India Ventures. Bhaskar has over two decades of experience in early and growth stage investments across various sectors including technology, media, and consumer businesses.

Bhaskar started their career as an entrepreneur and co-founded Solis Consulting Group, a management consulting firm that advised large corporations on strategy and operations. Bhaskar later transitioned into venture capital with Media Nucleus India Pvt. Ltd. and Heath Ventures, where they were Chairman. In 2011, Bhaskar made their first beauty-related investment in Bhaskar Said Beauty. The company was sold in 2015 to Latest in Beauty, UK's foremost beauty box and sampling company.

In 2016, Bhaskar launched Unicorn India Ventures, a seed and early stage venture fund that invests in technology and consumer companies in India. Unicorn India Ventures has invested in over 50 companies including Myntra, OYO Rooms, Swiggy, and Zomato.

Bhaskar Majumdar attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur for their B Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Bhaskar then attended St. Xavier's College for their AMP. Finally, they attended Harvard Business School.
