Greg Freihofner

Co-founder, Chief Investment Officer at Unified Commerce Group

Greg Freihofner has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Greg is currently the Co-Founder and COO of Unified Commerce Group, a position they have held since July 2019. Before that, from 2012 to 2017, Greg was the Founder and CEO of EMMA New York, an international luxury cosmetic brand with operations in the USA and China. During their tenure, they successfully led the company from development to retail launch in both countries and implemented various distribution channels, including brick and mortar, live TV, direct to consumer, and eCommerce wholesale.

Prior to EMMA New York, from 2006 to 2013, Greg was the Founder and Managing Partner of Hickey Freihofner Capital, an investment bank and advisory firm with offices in New York and Hong Kong. At Hickey Freihofner Capital, they raised capital and financed both US and Chinese companies. Notably, Greg also took the first Chinese company public on the NYSE/Amex during their time there.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Greg held positions at Société Générale as the Managing Director of US Convertible Sales, Trading, and Research from 2003 to 2006. Greg established and managed the convertible securities department, overseeing all aspects of the business and building a team of professionals. Prior to Société Générale, Greg worked at DLJ/Credit Suisse as an SVP from 1998 to 2003 and at Morgan Stanley and Paine Webber as an SVP from 1986 to 1997.

Greg Freihofner has a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Finance, General from Columbia Business School. Greg also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Brigham Young University.
