Kashef Ahmar

Kashef Ahmar has over 20 years of experience in the field of IT audit and assurance. Kashef is currently working as the Head of IT Audit at Unifonic, where they oversee the IT audit function and develops and implements audit strategies to evaluate the effectiveness of the organization's IT controls. Prior to this role, they worked at ADNOC Group as a Manager, Specialized Audit & Services, where they managed IT internal audits and specialized audits for ADNOC Drilling. Kashef also served as a Team Leader - Finance & IT Audit and Senior Internal Auditor (Lead IT Auditor) at ADNOC Drilling, responsible for managing audit teams and ensuring high standards of risk assessments and internal controls. Kashef has also held management positions at Majid Al Futtaim, Protiviti, and Dubai World, where they focused on IT audits, governance, and risk management. Kashef started their career at Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, and Codebase Technologies, gaining experience in IT auditing, project management, and software development. Overall, Kashef has a strong background in IT audit, risk assessment, and governance, and has contributed to the improvement of organizational processes in various industries.

Kashef Ahmar has a diverse education history. In 1994, they obtained an associate degree in Management Information Systems from Southeastern University. Kashef then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance from Greenwich University, completing it in 1998. In the same year, they also obtained a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification from the Technical Education Centre. In 2000, they acquired a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Management Information Systems from Iqra University. Throughout their career, Kashef Ahmar has also obtained various certifications in areas such as cybersecurity, risk management, and IT auditing. These certifications include the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) certification from EC-Council.
