Suranga Rathna Aca

Suranga Rathna ACA, CFA has a diverse range of work experience in the insurance industry. Starting in 2004, Suranga worked as an ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE at Union Assurance Limited, where responsibilities included preparing financials, managing reinsurance reconciliations, and overseeing bank statement and creditor account reconciliations. From 2006 to 2007, Suranga worked as a Senior Executive at MBSL Insurance Company, focusing on generating quarter and year-end financials, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and debt collection. Next, Suranga joined Orient Insurance Company in 2007 as a Senior Accountant, involved in preparing financial statements, developing yearly budgets and forecasts, and producing management information reports. Suranga Rathna ACA, CFA obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. In addition, Suranga is an Associate Member (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, which they obtained in January 2023. They are also a CFA Charter Holder, acquired from the CFA Institute in August 2014. Suranga further holds membership in the ACCA, which was obtained in February 2012. Finally, they have a Dip CII qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute, although the month and year of obtaining this certification were not provided.
