Karen Beach

Karen Beach is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in development and operations within nonprofit organizations. Since July 2015, Karen Beach has held multiple roles at the Union of Concerned Scientists, culminating in the position of Senior Development Researcher. Previously, at the New England Historic Genealogical Society, Karen Beach served as Senior Manager of Member Services. Earlier roles include Director of Development and Operations at the New England Anti-Vivisection Society and various positions at the Boston Athenæum, including Associate Director of Development. Karen Beach began a career in development at the Massachusetts Historical Society as an Administrative Assistant. An educational background includes an MLIS in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh, an MA in English Literature from Leiden University, and a BA in Literature and Philosophy from Oglethorpe University.
