Stacy Woods has a diverse and extensive work experience. Stacy is currently working as a Research Director at the Union of Concerned Scientists since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Geostatistical Consultant at the Kentucky Geological Survey, starting in January 2023. From May 2021, Stacy served as a Senior Advisor at the Yale School of the Environment. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Senior Data Scientist, Applied Data Science in Litigation at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) from November 2017 to February 2023. Stacy also worked as an Epidemiologist at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from July 2016 to November 2017. Stacy has a background in public health and research, having served as a C. Sylvia and Eddie C. Brown Scholar in Community Health and Senior Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Additionally, Stacy gained experience as a Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Fellow at The National Academies and as a Staff Scientist at the University of Florida.

Stacy Woods holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Environmental Health Engineering from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, earned from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Public Health from the same institution, attending from 2008 to 2010.
