Mikey Nolan has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role as a Graduate UX/UI designer at Uniphy Ltd. Prior to this, they worked as a Graphic Designer at Mannin Media, where they created the visual layout and format for the Business 365 Magazine.
Before transitioning to the field of design, Mikey gained experience as a Customer Assistant at WINERITE LIMITED and Marks and Spencer. Mikey also volunteered as the Head of social media for Vagabonds Rugby Club, where they contributed to boosting the club's social media presence and received recognition from the RFU.
Mikey's graphic design skills were further honed during their time as the Head Graphic Designer at Cannell print and later at Rockstarprinting IOM. Mikey worked on a variety of projects, including designing business cards, flyers, and menus.
Additionally, Mikey gained customer service experience as a Cocktail Bartender at The Courthouse, where they not only prepared cocktails but also trained new staff and supervised their work. Mikey also worked as a Glass Collector at Walkabout Ltd- Outback IOM, ensuring a clean and safe environment for customers.
Mikey's early work experience includes a brief stint as an Architectural intern at Cantrell & Crowley Architects & Interior Designers. Overall, Mikey has a well-rounded skill set in design, customer service, and social media management.
Mikey Nolan, MA, BA (Hons), holds a Master's degree in User Experience Design from Loughborough University, completed in 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications at the University of Chester, earning an Honours designation, which they obtained in 2020. Mikey's academic journey began at the University of the Arts London in 2014, where they completed an UAL Extended Diploma in Art, Design, and Media, concluding in 2016.
