Benjamin Gaub has a diverse work experience in the field of gene therapy and project management. Benjamin currently serves as the Director of BD Operations at uniQure since June 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director, Program Manager at uniQure from August 2021 to June 2022. Before joining uniQure, they worked as a Project Manager at Corlieve Therapeutics from January 2021 to August 2021, where they supported the team in proactive planning and execution of gene therapy projects for patients with temporal lobe epilepsy. Benjamin also held roles at Wyss Zurich as a Project Leader from April 2019 to January 2021, where they led clinical trials for gene therapy treatment of children with inherited immune diseases. Additionally, they have experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at ETH Zurich from September 2015 to March 2019 and as a PhD student at UC Berkeley from August 2009 to May 2015, focusing on developing optogenetic tools for restoring vision in blind animals. Benjamin's career started as a Research Assistant at the Max-Planck-Institute für Neurobiologie from September 2008 to May 2009.

Benjamin Gaub completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in 2008. Benjamin then went on to pursue a graduate degree in Neuroscience at the University of California, Berkeley from 2009 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Benjamin Gaub has obtained various certifications in entrepreneurship, business creation in biotech, bioentreprenuership, lab leadership, and science communication.
