Jim Smith

Jim Smith has extensive experience in the field of compensation and people operations. Jim currently serves as the Executive Director of Total Rewards & People Operations at uniQure, where they lead the strategy, design, and administration of executive compensation, employee compensation, equity programs, and HR systems in the US and Europe. Prior to uniQure, Jim held positions such as Director of Compensation at Fresenius Medical Care North America, Executive Compensation Manager at Cimpress, and Senior Director of Talent Management at The District Management Council. Jim also worked as a Principal in Executive and Sales Compensation at Mercer, where they partnered with senior management to design compensation plans for a range of global organizations. Jim began their career as an Analyst in Executive Compensation at Willis Towers Watson.

Jim Smith has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from Allegheny College, and a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree with a specialization in Mathematics from Colgate University.
