Kenya Prince Cohane

Kenya Prince Cohane has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Currently, Kenya is working as an Associate Director of Quality Control at uniQure since May 2022. Prior to this, Kenya held the position of Senior Manager of Bioassay & Virology in the Quality Control department at uniQure from December 2021 to May 2022.

Before joining uniQure, Kenya served as a Senior Manager at MassBiologics from August 2018 to October 2021. During this time, Kenya's responsibilities included managing the analysis and summarization of Quality Control data and validations, writing Standard Operating Procedures and protocols, and investigating out-of-specification results and deviations.

Kenya has also worked as a Regulatory Affairs Manager at Miltenyi Biotec from October 2017 to May 2018.

In the earlier stages of Kenya's career, Kenya held various scientific roles at BioLegend, Genocea Biosciences, Inc., ImmunoGen, Inc., Antigenics, UMass Medical School, and Mojave Therapeutics. These positions allowed Kenya to gain experience as a Product Development Manager, Sr. Scientist, Scientist II, Researcher, Instructor, and Scientist, respectively. At BioLegend, Kenya focused on identifying growth opportunities and providing scientific leadership to product development, Quality Control, and marketing teams.

Kenya Prince Cohane received a BA in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Hiram College in 1992. Subsequently, they pursued a PhD in Molecular Biology at Clark University, completing it in 1999.
