Monika D. Golińska

Monika D. Golińska has a diverse work experience in the field of analytical development and gene therapy. Monika D. worked at uniQure as an Associate Director Analytical Support since 2022 and previously held roles as a Senior Scientist and Scientist in Analytical Development & Process Support. During this time, they led teams, managed technicians and managers, and was responsible for the development and implementation of new techniques for analysis of gene therapy products.

Prior to joining uniQure, Monika worked at Merck as a Senior Analytical Scientist, where they specialized in biophysical protein characterization and method development & process support. Monika D. also worked as a PhD student at Wageningen UR University & Research centre, where they conducted research on biosynthesis and expression of new genes encoding protein polymers and characterized their behavior using a range of physical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, and chromatography techniques. Before that, they completed an internship at Agrotechnology and Food Science Group and obtained their MSc in Biotechnology from Wageningen University.

Monika D. Golińska has an educational background in biotechnology. Monika D. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Lodz University of Technology in 2006. Monika D. then pursued a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Wageningen University & Research, which they completed in 2008. Monika further continued their academic journey and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biotechnology from Wageningen University & Research in 2013. In 2014, they pursued an additional field of study and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Acupuncture from Shenzhou Open University of TCM. Additionally, Monika has certifications in Lean Six Sigma from The Lean Six Sigma Company, and in ICH GCP.
