Role Profile

As Principal of our delivery function for Zurich, you will oversee all Technical Delivery Services activities acrpss the region (Switzerland, Austria, and Germany), ensuring all projects meet their targets and are delivered to client expectations and our internal delivery standards. You will be leading and developing a high performing Technical Delivery team, fostering relationships with key clients, consulting and collaborating with other teams across EMEA to ensure best practice and consistency across Unispace.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Oversee all Technical Services Managers in the Zurich office, and those from other offices on collaborative projects.
  • Leading and developing a high performing local Technical Servies team, with a focus on quality of delivery and collaboration among the team.
  • Drive quality MEP processes and procedures across pre-construction and delivery stage to ensure consistency on sites across the region.
  • Provide strategic advise on Technical Services Design, Cost, Installation, and Commissioning.
  • Ensuring the Technical Services Managers are extensively trained in methodology, and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of team members, to actively push their development.
  • Budgeting of engineering costs throughout all stages of development, from Pre-con through to client handover.
  • Leading and monitoring MEP design strategy and being able to demonstrate this directly to the team as best-practice.
  • Chairing workshops with the internal design team, 3rd party designers, and the client team to ensure alignment on principles.
  • Ensuring the projects meet local technical codes across your region.

About you

We expect that you'll have extensive experience in Construction Project Delivery, ideally coming from a business in the commercial fit-out space. You'll also need demonstrable experience of managing a multi-discipline team with a range of experience levels, and the ability to coach and mentor these individuals. You'll also need to be fully fluent in German and English. If you've also worked in the development of Life Sciences facilities, this would be a massive bonus.
