Brett Varnam

Brett Varnam has extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Brett currently holds the position of Senior Project Manager at UniSuper, a role they started in March 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Australia Post as a Program Manager for Financial Services, Insights, and Trusted Solutions from July 2017 to December 2018. Before that, they served as a Program Manager across Corporate and Parcels portfolio at Australia Post from February 2014 to March 2016.

Earlier in their career, Brett held various roles at different companies. Brett was an Infrastructure Project Manager at Tabcorp from September 2011 to January 2014, a Project Manager at Wright Express from September 2010 to September 2011, and a Project Manager at Retail Decisions from November 2009 to September 2010. Brett also worked as a Consultant at Anything Everything Solutions from December 2008 to November 2009.

Brett has also acquired significant experience at Shell, where they held multiple positions. Their roles at Shell included Transition to Support Project Manager from May 2007 to November 2008, Global Site and Specific Services Programme Manager from January 2007 to May 2007, IT Project Manager - Pacific Island Divestment from January 2006 to December 2006, Service Integration Manager / Customer Service Manager from October 2001 to January 2006, Business Support and Development Manager from December 2000 to October 2001, and NT Operations - Team Leader & Support Analyst from May 1998 to December 2000.

Before starting their career at Shell, Brett worked as a self-employed contractor with various clients from 1988 to 1998. Brett began their professional journey as a Branch Manager at AVCO Financial Services, where they worked from 1984 to 1988.

Brett Varnam completed their high school education at Yarra Valley from 1974 to 1979, where they obtained their Higher School Certificate (HSC). Brett also holds additional certifications from the Project Management Institute, including the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) obtained in August 2022 and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification obtained in January 2007.
