Danny Siew

Danny Siew has extensive work experience in software development and has held various senior roles in multiple companies. Danny started their career in 2018 as a Senior IT Developer at Medical Indemnity Protection Society Ltd (MIPS), where they were responsible for architecting and creating a SPA framework using Angular 5 and Angular Materials. Danny also provided mentoring and guidance to other developers.

In 2018, Danny joined HSD as a Senior IT Developer on a contract basis. Here, they continued to work on SPA frameworks using Angular 6, RxJS, ngrx store, TypeScript, HTML 5, and Bootstrap 4. Danny also developed REST API services using .NET Core and Entity Framework, and secured Web API using JWTs and Identity Server 4.

From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Senior Frontend Developer (Contract) at TAL Australia, where they focused on creating SPA frameworks using React.js and TypeScript. Danny also developed REST API services using .NET Core and Entity Framework and secured Web API using JWTs.

In 2020, Danny joined UniSuper as a Senior IT Developer and worked on Angular 8/9 to create SPA frameworks and consume REST API services developed using .NET Framework. Danny also conducted code reviews and provided feedback to developers.

At AGL Energy in 2020-2021, Danny served as a Senior Developer and developed SPA frameworks using Angular 8-9 and React.js. Danny also developed SCSS using BEM methodology and ensured the conformance of web pages with HTML 5.

In 2021, Danny joined AIA Australia as a Senior Frontend Developer and utilized React.js and Redux to create SPA frameworks. Danny also developed styled components to render web pages.

Danny's next role was at Digital Purpose in 2021-2022, where they worked as a Senior Software Developer. Here, they used Angular 9, RxJS, TypeScript, HTML 5, and Bootstrap SCSS to create SPA frameworks. Danny also developed REST API services in Java Hibernate framework and PostgreSQL database, and secured Web API using JWTs.

In 2022, Danny joined Lapis IT as a Senior Full Stack Developer. Danny used Angular 13, RxJS, ngrx, TypeScript, HTML 5, and SCSS to create SPA frameworks and consume AWS Amplify API services. Danny also developed API services in AWS Amplify and PostgreSQL database and secured Web API using AWS Amplify Identity platform.

From 2022-2023, Danny worked at Jemena as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they created SPA frameworks using Angular 14-15, RxJS, ngrx, TypeScript, HTML 5, and SCSS to consume AWS Lambda API services. Danny also utilized Storybook to create Angular components and maintained branching using GitLab Commit as the source control.

Most recently, Danny started working at UniSuper in 2023 as a Senior Software Developer. Currently, they are creating an SPA framework using Angular 8/9, TypeScript, and HTML 5 to consume REST API services developed using .NET Framework. Danny is also securing Web API using JWTs and conducting code reviews.

Danny Siew has a strong educational background in the field of information technology and business administration. Danny obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems Management from Victoria University of Wellington in 2000. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Commerce Administration degree, with a specialization in Finance and Management, from the same university between 1991 and 1993. Additionally, they hold a Diploma in Business Studies from Massey University, which they attained between 1989 and 1991.

In terms of certifications, Danny has earned the MCSA: Web Applications certification from Microsoft in September 2016 and the MCSD: Web Applications certification in July 2014. These certifications further demonstrate their expertise and knowledge in the field of web application development.
