Maitland Buchanan

Maitland Buchanan has extensive work experience in engineering and technical roles. Maitland currently serves as the Head of Engineering at UNIT since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at halo Post Production, starting as a Senior Engineer in July 2018 and then becoming the Head of Engineering in May 2019. Before that, Maitland worked at Global Eagle as a Senior Media Technical Engineer from July 2010 to June 2018. Maitland also worked as a Service Engineer at Cimple Solutions from April 2010 to July 2010, and at Audio Related Technology from June 2007 to March 2010, where they repaired and serviced various audio and broadcast equipment. Maitland began their career as a Service Engineer at HHB Communications Ltd from June 2004 to August 2005 as part of their Degree Industrial Placement.

Maitland Buchanan's education history begins with their enrollment at Hollingworth High School from 1995 to 2000. After completing high school, they attended Oldham Sixth Form College from 2000 to 2002. During this time, they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Following their time at the college, Maitland went on to study Audio Technology at The University of Salford from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Maitland obtained a Dante Certification Level 1 from Audinate in August 2019. This certification indicates their proficiency in using Dante, a digital audio networking technology often used in the audio industry.
