Max GU has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Cofounder and Software Engineer at Geyao Electronics, where they conducted research and created efficient algorithms for banknote recognition and weariness evaluation. Liquan (Max) then worked as a Software Development Intern at BlackBerry, where they developed integration tests and optimized configurations. Max later joined Ultimate Software as a Software Engineer, and their responsibilities involved full-stack development. At Google, they held the position of Associate Software Engineer and made contributions to Chrome Web Payments, including introducing Fenced Frame and implementing WebLayer support. Liquan (Max) also owned Android Chrome's Web Payment API. Max then joined Cresta as a Software Engineer, where they integrated the Cresta Voice Agent Assist client with call center platforms and built UI features using various technologies. Additionally, they owned the Cresta Voice SSO auth service. Currently, they are working as a Senior Software Engineer at Unit21.

Liquan (Max) Gu began their education journey at Guangzhou Zhixin High School from 2006 to 2009. After completing high school, they attended South China University of Technology from 2009 to 2013, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering. Later, they pursued further education at the University of Waterloo from 2014 to 2016, obtaining a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
