Alexander Stoyanov

Alexander Stoyanov is an experienced financial professional currently serving as the Head of Markets, Treasury and Investment Banking Back Office Department at United Bulgarian Bank since May 2023. Stoyanov has been the Chairman of the User Committee of the Government Securities Registration and Settlement System since February 2019. Previously, Stoyanov held the position of Head of Markets and Investment Banking Back Office Department at KBC Bank Bulgaria from July 2022 to May 2023. From September 2001 to August 2022, Stoyanov advanced through various roles at Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria, including Head of Markets and Investment Banking Back Office Department, Supervisor Back Office, and Specialist Back Office. Stoyanov's career began at the Bulgarian National Bank as an Expert in the Secondary Market of Government Securities from March 1998 to September 2001. Stoyanov holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Banking from the University of National and World Economy, where studies took place from 1993 to 1997, and completed education at Sofia High School of Mathematics from 1987 to 1991.
