Cynthia A. Almirez

Ms. Almirez is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA) with over two decades of experience in audit and controllership in the Philippines and abroad. Prior to her appointment as Chief Finance Officer, she was the Bank’s Controller. In 2008, she worked as an Internal Audit Manager for GE Money Bank Philippines and in 2009 in Majid-Al-Futtaim Group, handling its internal audit department for its retail businesses in United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Syria, Iran, and Pakistan. She began her career in UCPB as a bookkeeper for its branch operations in 1991, worked in Internal Audit Division from 1993 to 1998 and moved to Controllership Division in 1999. She finished her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Accounting at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila in 1986.
